With summer near and the removal of the pickleball lines at Glenhaven Park, it is time to revisit an outdoor pickleball location in our community.
Residential opposition has been allowed to thwart the decisions of the community. The squeaky wheel got the oil. The tennis court at Glenhaven will be resurfaced to remove the lines for pickleball. Can our city residents at least get to enjoy the court during the summer one last run before they’re removed?
Lastly, we need to be diligent in our quest for an outdoor pickleball area, efficient use of the city parks and not allow sole residential push of their restrictions on public parks. What’s next, a limit on the number of dogs at any given time?
