City, Esri Inc. Provides Geographical Information System Updates

The city of La Cañada Flintridge recently partnered with Esri Inc. to present an update on LCF’s geographical information system improvements at the 24th annual Complete Streets and Technology Conference.
LCF’s Deputy Director Arabo Parseghian and Esri’s sales manager Mike Sumich and account manager Jesse Gonzalez highlighted the new GIS CIP system. Once fully integrated, this system will provide transparent information on future capital improvement projects to the public.
“It will allow us to provide a public portal, which will be housed in our city’s website,” Parseghian told the Outlook Valley Sun. “Then the public can basically launch that application and see all the current capital improvement projects, where they are located on a map and get some specific information about them, for example, how much it was budgeted for, what’s the status of it is, an award of contract, and all those details will be readily available to the public.”
This is part of the city’s initiative to leverage GIS to enhance capital improvement projects. The launch of this app will be coming soon.
