La Cañada Presbyterian Church was honored at FosterAll’s Gala for 30 years of partnership at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday evening.
FosterAll recruits and supports parents across Southern California to foster and adopt children who have been placed in the foster care system. More than 4,000 children have been placed in FosterAll’s recruited homes and thousands of parents have learned about foster care from FosterAll’s presentations in faith communities.
Brian Buchanan, longtime member of La Cañada Presbyterian Church who founded FosterAll with his wife, presented the Guardian Angel Award to Senior Pastor Ross Purdy, Associate Pastors Chuck Osburn and Cindy Frost, and Parent Ed Director Anne Bierling.
“La Cañada Presbyterian Church has been a steadfast partner of FosterAll, unwavering in its commitment to help children in foster case,” according to an event spokeswoman. “LCPC has given of its time, talent and generosity to be of service to hundreds of foster families. They have hosted Parents’ Nite Out events, annual Christmas parties for foster families, participated in toy drives, hosted camps and so much more.
LCPC’s Parent Ed Program has been a significant partner in FosterAll’s Family Support programs. FosterAll is deeply grateful to LCPC for its unending compassion and devoted partnership.”
