The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation recently held their first day of summer school, where 250 high school and 150 middle school students were in attendance.
Volunteer staff were on hand to assist students new to the La Cañada High School campus and the teachers greeted the students as they entered their classrooms.
Introductions were made, class goals and homework expectations were discussed and books were passed out.
Afterward, summer school students delved into the class material.
