“Sushi Tuesdays,” by La Cañada Flintridge author Charlotte Maya, will be featured at the 17th annual One City One Book author event later this year. Maya’s book tells a story of hope and healing in the face of unspeakable sadness.
The One City One Book Committee’s mission is to foster a love of reading by picking a title that appeals to a wide range of citizens.
“It’s basically a citywide book club,” said Mayor and One City One Book member Keith Eich. “We encourage everyone to pick up a copy of ‘Sushi Tuesdays’ at a local bookstore, read it, discuss it with friends, and then come to the October event to hear from the author and have an opportunity to ask questions.”
The author event will take place at the La Cañada Flintridge Library on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
