CCLCF Offers Improv for Teens

The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge’s improv training class is aimed at improving life skills with laughter.
Students will learn to create comedy on the spot and adapt quickly with improv training. Participants will also craft stories and invent characters.
The skills gained in this class can be used in preparation of auditions, debates and other situations.
The final class will include a showcase for friends and family to attend. Classes are for teens ages 13-17 and offered on Mondays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. starting Aug. 28.
The instructor, Joy Mamey, is a more than 19-year improviser, who has experience writing, producing and performing comedy. Mamey has worked with ComedySportz Los Angeles, Impro Studio and the Comedy Central Stage.
Those interested in joining this class are encouraged to register online or call (818) 790-4353.
