La Cañada Falls to Undefeated Burroughs

The La Cañada High School varsity football team lost at Burroughs High in Burbank 39-13 in a nonleague game on Sept. 8.
LCHS senior quarterback Macky Plocher connected with senior Luke Raulli for a 41-yard touchdown, pulling the Spartans within 13-7 of the Bears’ lead with 5:53 remaining in the second quarter. Plocher later found senior Tyler Bond in the end zone on a 5-yard pass to cut the Burroughs lead to 32-13 with 6:16 remaining in the third quarter.
La Cañada (2-2 overall) will visit Crescenta Valley High in La Crescenta for a nonleague game on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. before opening Rio Hondo League play at Pasadena Polytechnic on Sept. 29.
