LCF Coordinating Council Benefits Residents

The La Cañada Flintridge Coordinating Council is a nonprofit organization serving as the coordinating body for many local volunteer and service organizations. The board members on the council are volunteers themselves.
“LCF is a town full of volunteers,” said Sheri Morton of the Coordinating Council. “This is one of the reasons it is such a special place to call home. Our citizens actively participate in getting jobs done.”
The activities of the council are intended to assist other local community organizations in planning dates for regular meetings, as well as special events by keeping an online calendar. If you go to the LCFCC website and click on “calendar,” you will be able to see what is going on in town month by month provided the organizations have sent the information to the webmaster for entry. By submitting your organization’s event dates, double booking by another organization can be prevented. If you are an organization in town, the council encourages you send this information to calendar@lcfcc.net and it will be added to the calendar. The calendar is updated as new dates are submitted.
The council also publishes and distributes an Annual Directory of Community Organizations, which includes the organization officers, meeting times and events. The online calendar will have the most up-to-date information regarding events taking place in town.
To have your organization included in the directory, send your organization’s information along with a check for $25 to LCFCC at P.O. Box 264, La Cañada Flintridge 91012. Directories will be available at the Chamber of Commerce in late September. For more information about this organization, go online to LCF Coordinating Council or email us at info@lcfcc.net.
In addition to the directory, the council provides the following activities and services for the LCF community. During a local election year, the council hosts a City Council Candidate Forum where citizens have an opportunity to get to know the candidates. It also presents the Annual Les Tupper Community Service Awards to deserving individuals, organizations and businesses.
