La Cañada Tramples Temple City in Season Finale

The La Cañada High School varsity football team ended its season on a high note and snapped its three-game losing streak with a 56-6 rout of visiting Temple City in a Rio Hondo League game on Oct. 27.
Senior quarterback Macky Plocher completed 11 of 16 passes for 168 yards with three touchdowns and also rushed for 27 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Senior Lorenz Bayug rushed for a game-high 157 yards for a pair of touchdowns on 10 carries.
Junior Sohan Garg had four carries for 54 yards with a touchdown, while senior Luke Raulli had two receptions for a team-best 51 yards with a touchdown. Senior Hayden Dancsecs caught two passes for 28 yards with a touchdown, senior Tyler Bond had two catches for 26 yards with a touchdown and senior Cayden Klein scored a 1-yard rushing touchdown.
Senior Joey Whooley had two receptions for 28 yards, while senior Alan Razo had a 21-yard carry and a pair of receptions for 15 yards. Junior Quest Swan made a 20-yard catch and scored all three of his PAT attempts, while senior Elliot Rae went a perfect 5-for-5 in PAT attempts.
Senior Kei Hartzberg racked up nine tackles, senior Paulos Cucullu finished with five tackles and a 23-yard interception, and junior Cole Parisi recorded five tackles. Junior Spencer Turner tallied four tackles, while senior Matthew Fan contributed three tackles and a sack. Senior Carl Shew, senior Alex Quan, sophomore Jakob Kim and freshman Joe Bell each registered three tackles, while junior Syem Bangash produced two tackles and grabbed a 15-yard interception. Junior Morgan Strauss, junior Scott Carey, sophomore Jackson Radabaugh and sophomore Skylar Henry each chipped in two tackles, senior Anthon Cannon notched one tackle and a sack, and senior Brandon Goldsby, junior River Wokosin and sophomore Bryson Bond each had one tackle.
The Spartans finished the campaign fourth in the Rio Hondo League with a 2-3 record (4-6 overall).
