The La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild, celebrating 66 years of caring, hosted its annual Book and Author Luncheon last week at the LCF Country Club. The program began with Mary Beth Perrine of the Orthopaedic Institute for Children introducing patient ambassador Alisson Reteria and sharing her story.
Three authors and their books were featured at the event: Chris Erskine with “What the Bears Know,” Amy Meyerson with “The Love Scribe,” and J. Ryan Stradal with “Saturday Night at the Lakeside Supper Club” and “The Lager Queen of Minnesota.”
Two former members were acknowledged for their years of service posthumously: Shirley Myers (a member who joined 1968) and Linda LaBrie (a member beginning in 1996).
