Tologs Edge Spartans in Nonleague Tilt

The La Cañada High School varsity girls’ water polo team lost in overtime to visiting Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 13-12 in the Spartans’ season opener on Nov. 17.
FSHA senior Lauren Larson recorded nine saves, junior Marisol Cowles and sophomore Lily Waggoner each scored four goals, and junior Katherine Dolan tallied three goals.
La Cañada’s Kadyn Day scored four goals, Lilli Perner recorded three goals, Lorelei Rocca tallied two goals, and Kiley Ku, Didi Reifsnyder-Smith and Alexis Calix each had one goal.
The Spartans (0-1 overall) will host Marlborough High of Los Angeles for a nonleague game on Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Pasadena Poly on Dec. 7.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs posted a convincing 20-12 nonleague victory at Arcadia on Nov. 15 as Cowles racked up nine goals.
Larson finished with seven saves, Dolan and Waggoner each chipped in four goals, and junior Reese Artura registered three goals.
The Tologs defeated host Glendale 21-10 in their season opener on Nov. 13, as Larson produced 11 saves.
Cowles and Artura each contributed six goals, Waggoner scored five goals, and senior Isabella Valdivia and Dolan each had two goals.
Flintridge Sacred Heart (3-0) will visit Flintridge Prep for a nonleague game on Nov. 29 at 3:15 p.m. before visiting Burroughs High in Burbank on Dec. 5.

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves opened the regular season last week with wins against South Pasadena, 11-9, San Marino, 21-1, and Monrovia, 21-5. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
Flintridge Prep (3-0) will host Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy for a nonleague game on Nov. 29 at 3:15 p.m. before hosting Burbank on Dec. 5.
