The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ soccer team defeated visiting Royal High of Simi Valley 3-1 in a nonleague game on Dec. 22.
Rafa Sahakyan registered one goal and one assist, Harry Chant and Eliot Rae each scored one goal, and Eli Joung and Kyle Shibata were each credited with an assist.
The Spartans (6-1-2 overall, 1-0-1 in league) will resume Rio Hondo League action at Monrovia on Jan. 10 at 4 p.m. before visiting Blair High in Pasadena on Jan. 12.
FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves have been away from the pitch since settling for a draw against Pasadena Polytechnic in their Prep League opener on Dec. 12.
Flintridge Prep (1-3-1, 0-0-1) will host Providence High of Burbank for a league game on Jan. 10 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Polytechnic on Jan. 11.
ST. FRANCIS
The Golden Knights have not played a match since defeating Alemany High of Mission Hills in a Mission League match on Dec. 15.
SFHS (4-2-1, 2-0) will resume league play against visiting Loyola High of Los Angeles on Jan. 3 at 5 p.m. before traveling to Crespi High in Encino on Jan. 5.
