Bonita Tournament Run Tests La Cañada Softball

The La Cañada High School varsity softball team lost to Bonita 13-0 in a Bonita Tournament game on Feb. 17. The Spartans previously suffered a 9-1 loss against Mater Dei High of Santa Ana in a tournament game on Feb. 14. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
La Cañada lost to South Hills High of West Covina 10-2 in a tournament game on Feb. 12.
Junior Bentley Labrecque went 2-for-2 with an RBI, while senior Elle Leckrone slugged a solo home run. Senior Mia Salardino tallied a base hit, while junior Grace Rocco, junior Cody Mora and freshman Riley Labrecque each walked once.
The Spartans (1-3 overall) will visit Burroughs High in Burbank for a nonleague game on Feb. 23 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Crescenta Valley High of La Crescenta on Feb. 27.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs defeated host La Salle College Preparatory 12-4 in a nonleague game on Feb. 15.
Senior Colleen Traver, who went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, a run and a walk, allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and one walk with two strikeouts over four innings in the circle. Senior Meaghan Coyle, who had a hit, two runs, an RBI and a walk at the plate, tossed three scoreless innings with six strikeouts, two walks and no hits.
Junior Ava Nawrocki went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs, one RBI and a walk, while senior Megan Milton went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and a walk. Sophomore Ena Ramsey recorded a double, an RBI, a run and a walk, while junior Gianna Candelora tallied a base hit. Freshman Jayne Bender walked twice, scored two runs and stole two bases, sophomore Juliette Smith walked twice and scored once, and junior Grace Garrity was credited with an RBI and a pair of walks.
The Tologs suffered a 4-2 season-opening loss at Louisville High in Woodland Hills on Feb. 13.
Coyle pitched a six-inning complete game, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Nawrocki contributed a double and a run, while Ramsey produced a hit and an RBI. Traver tallied an RBI and a run, while senior Abi Blea walked once.
FSHA (1-1 overall) will host Roosevelt High of Los Angeles for a nonleague game on Feb. 28 at 3:30 p.m. before visiting Polytechnic on March 1.

FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves picked up a 6-5 extra-inning victory at South Pasadena in a nonleague game on Feb. 15. Junior Elise Fong pitched an eight-inning, complete game, allowing five runs (one earned) on eight hits and no walks with three strikeouts.
Sophomore Mary Sinclair went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two RBIs and a run, junior Sienna Liston went 3-for-4 with two runs, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk, and sophomore Emma Carmack went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Freshman Leighton Acker registered a hit, a run, a stolen base and a walk, while senior Alex Von Thaden scored twice, walked once and stole a base.
Flintridge Prep overwhelmed host Pasadena 23-2 in its season opener on Feb. 13. Fong, who had three walks, three runs, an RBI and a hit at the plate, pitched three perfect innings and struck out eight of the nine batters she faced in the circle.
Sinclair went 2-for-2 with a double, three RBIs, three walks and two runs, Acker registered a double, four RBIs, two runs and a walk, and Carmack produced a double, three runs, two RBIs and two walks. Senior Asta Uziel recorded four walks, four RBIs, two runs and a hit, while Von Thaden finished with four walks, three RBIs, two runs and a hit. Senior Ava Burlingame tallied three walks, three runs and two RBIs, Liston was credited with four walks, three runs and one RBI, and junior Olivia Rabadi had five walks, two RBIs and two runs.
The Wolves (2-0) will host Ramona Convent High of Alhambra for a nonleague game on Feb. 23 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting La Salle College Preparatory on Feb. 26.
