La Cañada Flintridge city officials are urging caution to residents following a notable increase of e-bike users riding around neighborhoods and businesses.
“As e-bikes become more and more popular, it is essential to prioritize safety on our streets, especially for minors,” the city announced on its Facebook page.
City officials said there has recently been an uptick in the number of minors on e-bikes cruising through the streets. The city wants to remind parents and all residents of the importance of responsible riding:
- Always wear a helmet
- Obey traffic laws
- Stay visible
- Watch speeding
“Together, we can protect our community and keep our streets safe for everyone,” the city said in the social media post.
