The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ volleyball team secured a five-game victory at Monrovia, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 16-14, in a Rio Hondo League match on March 21. The Spartans were swept by visiting Arcadia, 9-25, 18-25, 11-25, in a league match on March 19. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
La Cañada (8-7 overall, 1-2 in league) will host San Marino for a league match on March 28 at 4 p.m. before visiting South Pasadena on April 9.
ST. FRANCIS
The Golden Knights swept visiting San Juan Hills High of San Juan Capistrano, 32-30, 25-19, 25-16, in a nonleague match on March 25.
St. Francis also won a pair of Mission League matchups in straight sets. The Golden Knights first swept Bishop Alemany High of Mission Hills, 25-16, 25-10, 25-10, on March 19, and followed that up with a sweep over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 25-23, 25-15, 25-22, on March 21. Individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
St. Francis (18-6, 3-0) will host Loyola High of Los Angeles for a league match on April 9 at 6 p.m. before visiting La Serna High in Whittier on April 12.
FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves returned to action hosting Rio Hondo Prep of Arcadia on March 27. The Prep League match ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline and will be included in next week’s issue.
Flintridge Prep (6-1, 1-0) will visit Providence High in Burbank for a league match on March 28 at 5 p.m. before hosting Glendale Adventist on April 2.
