Community Center Preschool’s Western Round-Up Corrals Funds for Programs

The Community Center Preschool in La Cañada Flintridge raised more than $36,000 at its 30th annual Western Round-Up fundraising event on Saturday, March 9.
Local families enjoyed pony rides, game booths, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals and carnival rides. Attendees also indulged in sweet treats from the event’s general store and tacos provided by Los Gringos Locos.
One preschool supporter lassoed the $500 Apple gift card raffle prize donated by Carey Haynes of Compass real estate. Several attendees walked away winners of the silent auction that had one-of-kind experiences including tickets to the Dodgers’ batting practice and a private tour of an exclusive winery.
Proceeds fund enrichment programs, teacher development, and additional yard and classroom upgrades. The Western Round-Up is held each March and is run entirely by parent volunteers. For more information visit communitycenterpreschool.org.
