The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ tennis team secured a crucial 14-4 Rio Hondo League victory at San Marino on March 29.
In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Cayden Chang and Blake Chang swept with scores of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-2. The No. 2 tandem of Spencer Moravec and Isaac Lai swept with scores of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1. The No. 3 duo of David Lee and Aaron Pan swept with scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-4.
No. 3 singles player Konan Sahara swept with scores of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, while No. 1 Enzo Lee and No. 2 Seth Lindenfeld each won a set with identical 6-1 scores.
The Spartans lost to visiting Flintridge Prep, 9-9 (65-63), in a nonleague match on March 27.

La Cañada (6-2 overall, 4-0 in league) will host Temple City for a league match on April 10 at 4 p.m. before visiting Blair High in Pasadena on April 12.
FLINTRIDGE PREP
The Wolves overwhelmed host Duarte with a 16-2 nonleague victory on March 28.
In singles play, No. 2 Jeremy Sieben earned a sweep with a trio of 6-0 victories. No. 1 Ray Cabrera swept with scores of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-2, while No. 3 Nico Stanton also swept with scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2.
In doubles play, the No. 2 team of Finley Shivaram and Logan Wi swept with scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1. The No. 1 tandem of Jacob Chow and Josh Hutaff (6-3, 7-5), and the No. 3 duo of Dilan Robbins and Noah Mukherjee (6-1, 6-3) each added a pair of wins.
Flintridge Prep edged host La Cañada in games, 9-9 (65-53), in a nonleague match on March 27.
In singles play, No. 1 Sieben earned a clean sweep with a trio of 6-0 scores, while No. 3 Stanton also sweet with scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2. No. 2 Cabrera won a pair of sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-2, while the No. 2 doubles team of Shivaram and Wu added a 6-4 victory.
The Wolves (7-1 overall) will host Providence High of Burbank for its Prep League opener on April 4 at 4 p.m. before visiting Palos Verdes Chadwick on April 10.
ST. FRANCIS
The Golden Knights lost at Chaminade High in West Hills 15-3 in a Mission League match on March 26.
The No. 1 doubles team of Lucas Silva and Armen Balikyan-Bekian won a pair of sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-4. In singles play, No. 2 Preston Kim added a 6-1 victory.
St. Francis (3-8, 2-3) will host Mark Keppel High of Alhambra for a nonleague match on April 4 at 1 p.m. before hosting Bergen Catholic High of Oradell, New Jersey, on April 5.
