Four La Cañada High School boys have been selected All-Americans, it was announced by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association this past week. All-American status is based on the athletes’ times being among the 100 fastest in the nation in their respective events during the recently concluded 2022-23 school year. To
Igor Benderskii, who recently graduated from La Cañada High School earlier this month, was selected an All-American in the 50 freestyle and the 200 free relay. He is attending the University of Chicago this fall.
Jacob Boulanger, who also just graduated from LCHS, earned All-American honors in the 200 freestyle relay. He will be attending UC Riverside.
Ryan Makouar, who will be entering his senior year at La Cañada High School, was selected an All-American in 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle relay.
Pierce O’Grady, also a rising senior at LCHS, earned All-American honors in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 200 freestyle relay.
