The Foothill Auxiliary of Ahead With Horses recently awarded Michelle Newman, executive director, with an $11,000 check from the proceeds of its Chinese Auction and Luncheon. The Foothill Auxiliary is a group of 14 women in La Cañada Flintridge who produce this annual luncheon and auction.
The community is invited to the group’s Fun Day on Saturday, June 10, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Demonstrations are being held from 12-2 p.m. Food, game booths and other activities will be provided. Child tickets are $7; adults are $14. Ahead With Horses is located at 10157 Johanna Ave., Shadow Hills.
Ahead With Horses is a nonprofit established in 1968 that works with children in a therapeutic setting with special therapy horses to help children with disabilities. This program has earned many awards and recognition for the children of Los Angeles.
