La Cañada Elementary School kicked off Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month activities by providing the students with steamed pork dumplings and brown rice for lunch.
Parent Rosana Chen coordinated with the district to serve Asian lunches throughout the month of May at all La Cañada Flintridge schools.
Future lunches will include sweet and sour chicken, sticky ginger chicken, pineapple shrimp stir fry, beef stir fry, Korean Buddha bowls and chicken chow mein.
Parent Shirley Quan assisted with providing the lunch at LCE.
