This year’s Provisional Debutantes of the La Cañada Thursday Club recently had their first meeting of the year.
Starting with a discussion led by Karey Spidell focused on healthy eating in college. For the rest of the night, they proceeded to receive instruction from club member Jody Platisa on the fine art of crafting a tea sandwich.
Platisa’s demonstration included showing participants how to make various sandwiches, including almond/cranberry chicken salad, cucumber, and egg salad with chives and bacon.
The debutantes enjoyed creating their own sandwiches in preparation for hosting the Club Tea on March 2.
