Spartans, Golden Knights Back in Action

The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ tennis team traveled to Monrovia for a Rio Hondo League match last Friday; the final result and individual statistics were not reported to the Outlook Valley Sun.
The Spartans will host Blair High of Pasadena for a league match on Friday, March 31, at 4 p.m. before hosting Temple City on April 11.


The Golden Knights recently tied host Crespi High in Encino, 9-9, but lost the Mission League match in games played, 75-73.
SF’s Van Stepanian and Nathan Huey swept their counterparts. The doubles team of Andrew and Christian Tchakmakjian won a pair of sets while Alex Hovsepian, Lucas Bryan, Preston Kim and the tandem of Logan King and Armen Balikyan-Bekian each won a set.
SFHS will host Loyola High of Los Angeles for a league match Thursday at 1 p.m. before hosting Chaminade High of West Hills on April 3.


The Wolves have been idle since losing to visiting Burbank, 11-7, in a nonleague match on March 13.
Flintridge Prep hosted St. Francis for a nonleague match Wednesday but it ended after the Outlook Valley Sun’s press deadline; the result will be included in next week’s issue. The Wolves will visit Arcadia for a nonleague match on Friday, March 31, at 3:30 p.m. before hosting South Pasadena on April 5.
