Spartans Defeated by CVHS, Glendale

The La Canada High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team lost at powerhouse Crescenta Valley High in La Crescenta, 19-1, in a Pacific League game last Friday.
Freshman Rachel Herrick scored the Spartans’ lone goal and despite the opposition’s onslaught, freshman goalie Gretchen Louie racked up 17 saves.
The Spartans dropped a league game to visiting Glendale, 10-2. Junior Mia Louie scored both goals while sophomore Irelyn Fung was credited with an assist. LCHS also received great defensive performances by senior captain Alex Gilmore, junior Annabelle Fung and sophomore Kayle Cho.
La Cañada (2-10-1 overall, 0-2 in league) will visit Simi Valley for a league game on Friday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. before hosting Westridge School of Pasadena for its regular-season finale on April 28.
