Korean American Groups Bring Seminar to LCHS

Edward Chang, an esteemed ethnic studies professor at UC Riverside and founding director of Young Oak Kim Center, presented a lecture about Col. Young Oak Kim, the first Korean American officer in World War II and the Korean War. Col. Kim’s story of bravery and dedication to his country has served as an inspiration for Korean and other Asian American soldiers who have followed in his legacy. - Photo courtesy Korean American Parents Association
