Korean American Parents Association and Korean American Federation of North L.A. hosted the first Ethnic Studies Seminar at LCHS in honor of AAPI Heritage Month on May 24. Edward Chang, an esteemed ethnic studies professor at UC Riverside and founding director of Young Oak Kim Center, presented a lecture about Col. Young Oak Kim, the first Korean American officer in World War II and the Korean War. Col.
