LCHS Graduates Toss Their Caps

La Cañada High School recently held its commencement ceremony for the Class of 2023 at Spartan Stadium at 6 p.m.
The LCHS Band kicked off the program by playing “Pomp and Circumstance,” and under the direction of Jeff Brookey, Chamber Singers and the concert choir performed the national anthem and “The Road Home.”
Joven Torres ASB President welcomed the graduating class, with commencement speakers Daylen and Kai Larsen giving their speeches. Elisa Booth, another speaker at the event, talked about finding the joy in small miracles.
LCHS Principal James Cartnal encouraged the class to pay attention to close relationships, value people and do good in his remarks. He also acknowledged the tremendous accomplishments of the 2023 class despite dealing with COVID-19.
Superintendent Wendy Sinnette accepted the Class of 2023 while the Chamber Singers sang the alma mater and the graduation caps were tossed.
