Summer school students entering the 1st-grade in the fall were exploring new things every day in the Assistance League of Flintridge’s Discovery Zone class.
The course delved into learning about the ocean, exploring the wide-ranging fish and sea creatures and their habitats. Students chose various learning zones to explore. Activities include whiteboard art, participating in a book circle, playing a matching game, crafting playdough, practicing their letters, having books read to them and watching videos.
They also made ocean-related arts and crafts projects, with colorful fish posters.
