St. Francis Edges Rival for Key League Victory

The St. Francis High School varsity football team defeated visiting rival Loyola High of Los Angeles 26-21 in its Angeles League opener on Sept. 29. Individual statistics were not reported to the Pasadena Outlook.
SFHS (5-1 overall, 1-0 in league) will visit Paraclete High in Lancaster for a league contest on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. before hosting Cathedral High of Los Angeles on Oct. 13.

The Wolves varsity 8-man football team has not played a game since defeating host Thacher High in Ojai, 42-20, in a nonleague game on Sept. 23. Undefeated Flintridge Prep (4-0 overall) will visit Santa Clarita Christian High in Santa Clarita for a nonleague game on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. before opening Prep League action at Windward High in Los Angeles on Oct. 13.
