Flintridge Prep Braces for CIF Run

The Flintridge Prep varsity 8-man football team lost to visiting Palos Verdes Chadwick 23-21 in its regular season and Prep League finale on Oct. 27.
Senior quarterback Alex Chorba completed 11 of 16 passes for 95 yards with a pair of touchdowns, while senior Noah Willingham rushed for a game-high 106 yards with a touchdown on 17 carries. Sophomore Owen Willingham caught three passes for 39 yards with a touchdown, while sophomore Will Grable had three receptions for 36 yards with a touchdown.
Sophomore Mac Peutet had three carries for 28 yards, while junior John Battaglia had a 16-yard carry. Sophomore Nico Chapman made an 18-yard catch, while sophomore Juliet Oberley scored all three of her extra-point attempts.
The Wolves finished as the league runner-up with a 2-1 record (7-1 overall) and will open the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs by hosting Cate High of Carpinteria (3-3) on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. If victorious, Flintridge Prep would advance to the semifinals and meet either Hesperia Christian (8-1) or Valley Christian High of Santa Maria (7-2) on Nov. 10.
