With the assistance of parent volunteers, La Cañada Elementary School fifth graders prepared for the Thanksgiving holiday by making beaded Wampanoag Native American belts. Students picked out staff members they felt deserved an extra special “thank you.” The students expressed their appreciation by writing “thank you” notes, and they enjoyed a friendship lunch of sandwiches from Jersey Mike’s.
