PCY reading nights happen two to three times a year thanks to Kim Blaha. The latest event featured author Rhode Montijo, who read his first book “Cloud Boy,” “Halloween Kid” and excerpts from the original “Gum Girl” series. Students also participated in a bubble gum contest, as well as an art lesson. Benji Quon won the contest and took home the author’s drawings, while Reem Schattner was runner-up in the competition and won a book.

First published in the December 7 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.
