With a grand and elegant style, the Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital hosted Deck the Halls Boutique and Brunch at the Shakespeare Club on Dec. 2, where numerous La Cañada Flintridge residents participated in this festive event with a sold-out crowd of more than 400 guests and patrons.
This annual tradition celebrates the beginning of the holiday season by Flintridge Guild members transforming the Shakespeare mansion into a holiday magical wonderland. Members create festive decorations all year long and then transform the mansion with holiday decor and treats that are for sale. The proceeds benefit CHLA endowed chairs of abdominal transplant surgery and endocrinology.
The event includes multiple rooms in the Shakespeare Club decorated with themes ranging from a formal elegant living room to a European alpine ski village. Additionally, guests were able to order professionally baked gingerbread houses that were personalized with their family names including beloved pets.
Champagne brunch was served as guests strolled through the decorated mansion alongside New England Christmas Carolers who entertained guests. The Gavina family generously donated Don Francisco’s specialty coffees to all guests. La Cañada high school students and the Thursday Club debutantes volunteered throughout the day.
All proceeds for the event went toward the endowed chairs of abdominal transplant surgery and endocrinology at CHLA.
