Oberley’s Double Sends Flintridge Prep Past Polytechnic

The Flintridge Prep varsity girls’ soccer team shut out visiting Pasadena Polytechnic 4-0 in a Prep League match on Jan. 20.
Sophomore Juliet Oberley chipped in a pair of goals, junior Valentina Mancilla and sophomore Sadie Goodman each scored one goal, and junior Dagny Marion was credited with one assist.
The Wolves routed visiting Westridge School 9-0 in a league matchup on Jan. 18 as Oberley recorded a hat trick.
Goodman registered three assists and two goals, Marion tallied two goals and one assist, and senior captain Zaria Echemendia and junior Sarah Rude each finished with one goal. Senior Abigail Wang contributed three assists, while sophomore Elyse Mauer and freshman Avery McCormack each produced one assist.
Flintridge Prep secured a narrow 2-1 league victory over visiting Palos Verdes Chadwick on Jan. 17.
Senior captain Stella Smit and Echemendia each scored one goal, while Oberley and Mancilla each had one assist.
The Wolves (12-3-2 overall, 5-0-1 in league) will visit Mayfield Senior in Pasadena for a league match on Jan. 26 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Providence High of Burbank on Jan. 29.

FLINTRIDGE SACRED HEART
The Tologs were shut out at Marymount High in Los Angeles 2-0 in a Mission League match on Jan. 19.
FSHA (3-8-2, 0-5) will visit Chaminade High in West Hills for a league game on Jan. 26 at 5 p.m. before hosting Harvard-Westlake High of Studio City on Jan. 29.
