Sheriff’s Crime Report

A commercial burglary was reported at 4 a.m. on Feb. 22 in the 500 block of Foothill Boulevard. Upon arrival, the deputy found the front entry door shattered. Three more deputies conducted a protective sweep of the building for any potential suspects or victims. Authorities found additional shattered glass from the interior pharmacy window when they entered the building. At the front counter, the cash registers had been ransacked and left on the ground. The pharmaceutical storage area was also ransacked. The owner of the building looked around the scene with the deputies and noticed missing items in a refrigerator located at the front counter, where pharmaceuticals were stored. He told deputies that he would have his lead pharmacist conduct an inventory count and provide information of what was taken at a later date. The victim also added that the business does not have surveillance cameras.

A grand theft involving a stolen catalytic converter was reported in the 1900 block of Foothill Boulevard on Feb. 23 between 2:50 p.m. and 5:37 p.m. The victim said his son parked his locked vehicle in the southeast corner of the YMCA parking lot, and when his son returned to his vehicle and started it, he heard a loud noise coming from underneath. He looked under the vehicle and noticed that the catalytic converter was missing. Surveillance footage was requested by the YMCA.
