The 5th-graders at Paradise Canyon Elementary School finished reading “Call it Courage” by Armstrong Sperry and took it one step further.
The story is about a Polynesian boy overcoming his fear of the sea, since it had taken his mother’s life when he was a baby. Students working in teams made a diorama of the scene they felt demonstrated his courage the best.
