La Cañada Elementary 4th- graders recently participated in Pioneer Days.
The students had finished a lesson about the Gold Rush and read “By the Great Horn Spoon,” which takes place during the California Gold Rush.
The day, organized Kristie Geller, allowed the 4th-graders to dress up and join activities like a corn shucking contest, potato sack racing, potato racing, mining for gold and a spitting contest, using gum.
