The La Cañada Community Center Preschool will host its 29th annual Western Round-Up on Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For nearly 30 years, the Western Round-Up has brought together families and community members for its largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the Western-themed carnival fund enrichment programs at the preschool, school enhancements and teacher development.
The event boasts carnival rides, pony rides, game booths, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, line dancing and treats for kids and parents alike. It also features a silent auction. Some of the items featured include beach house getaways, second row Dodger tickets, Pantages and Dolby Theatre tickets and Tom Sawyer Saturday Camp certificates.
Additionally, Carey Haynes of the Haynes Group Compass real estate offices is donating a $500 Apple gift card which will be raffled off on the day. Raffle tickets are available at the LCFCC Preschool office or at the carnival for $1 per ticket. Haynes has been a sponsor of the Western Round-Up for more than 12 years.
Guests can visit the Los Gringos Taco Cart for a meal and visit the event’s general store.
Discounted tickets can be purchased in advance. Online silent auction bids can be made at Bit.Ly/WRU2023. Bidding began online on Feb. 24 and will last through March 4 at 2 p.m.
