ALFie Company Brings ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to the Stage

The stage at Lanterman Auditorium will be filled with “lions and tigers and bears, oh my” as Dorothy, her little dog, Toto, and a cast of 27 actors sing and dance their way along the yellow brick road.
ALFie Company, local students in grades 5-7, will present a special adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz” on Friday, March 10, at 7 p.m. This Assistance League of Flintridge winter drama presentation is based on the classic Broadway musical.
The audience can expect to witness the story of Dorothy’s quest to return to Kansas from her storm-tossed journey into Oz and hear songs like “Over the Rainbow” and “If I Only Had a Brain.”
The young cast will perform under the direction of ALF Drama Director Katelyn Fike, with Tristan Waldron as assistant director and Nancy Abbott as musical director.
The Lanterman Auditorium is located at 4491 Cornishon Ave. Admission is free. For more information, visit ALFlintridge.org, or call (818)790-2211.
