The LCE Read In is a long-standing tradition at the school, where community members read to children their book of choice.
The recent event was a win-win for the adults and the students alike. The children also had the opportunity to ask the readers about what they did or about their business.
For example, reader Grant Delgatty shared his experience creating an award-winning float.
The students loved the interaction and learned a lot along the way.
Additionally, Melanie Pendergast of Sweet Pea Cakery L.A. made custom cookies for the readers.
PTA President Stephanie Arnold chaired the event.

First published in the March 30 print issue of the Outlook Valley Sun.
