All three local elementary schools — La Cañada Elementary, Palm Crest and Paradise Canyon — recently participated in “Mathzilla,” the culmination of weeks of practice in an after-school program called Math Olympiad.
PCY students, who won last year’s event, remain reigning champions.
The competition, which was held in the PCY auditorium, was organized by teacher and Mathzilla coordinator Danielle Celestino Gate, with the help of Colin Hwang.
