Lutheran Church in the Foothills Invites Volunteers to Scope Out ‘Work Day’ Projects

Lutheran Church in the Foothills is calling all spring cleaners, seeking volunteers for its upcoming church “Work Day.”
LCIF’s “Work Day” will be held in March, but this Sunday, Feb. 25 is an opportunity for volunteers to scope out the campus in search of projects of their liking.
As with past “Work Days” at the church, there will be plenty of chances for cleaning, sorting and gardening.
However, larger projects will be completed as well, including the installation of a new drinking fountain with a fill station, along with concrete repair and painting.
“By maintaining the church buildings, we are excited to have this opportunity to be a good steward of our property and a good neighbor to the community,” LCIF council member Greg Hiscott said. “It also allows folks to use their talents in service to God and community.”
Volunteers can take part in a walk-through of potential projects Sunday following the 10 a.m. worship service. The actual “Work Day” will take place on March 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will include lunch.
Additionally, LCIF would like to remind the community that Pastor Rick Hall continues to hold his Thursday prayer breakfasts at the McDonald’s in La Cañada. Guests are encouraged to grab breakfast, then head to the rear dining area at 9 a.m. on Thursdays for food, fellowship and prayer.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details. For more information or to request/offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org, or call (818) 790-1951.
The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
