Soup’s On at the Lutheran Church in the Foothills

Lutheran Church in the Foothills will offer three more Wednesday “Soup Suppers” during this season of Lent.
All are invited to enjoy refreshments and a hearty homemade bowl of soup in the church’s Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m. Lenten worship follows at 7 p.m. in the church’s Sanctuary with Pastor Rick Hall.
Lent is a 40-day period during which Christians remember the events leading up to and including the death of Jesus Christ. Lent is a time of reflection and of asking for forgiveness. Ultimately, it is a preparation to celebrate Jesus’s resurrection at the feast of Easter. The Wednesday evening suppers and worship will take place through March 20.
LCIF also reminds the community of its upcoming church “Work Day” on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will help beautify the LCIF campus, inside and out. Lunch will be provided.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details, including small group gatherings and opportunities to serve. For more information or to request/offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org, or call (818) 790-1951.
