The La Cañada High School varsity boys’ tennis team lost at Calabasas, 12-6, in a CIF-Southern Section Division I second-round match last Friday.
The No. 2 doubles team of Spencer Moravec and Konan Sahara swept, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0; the No. 2 tandem of Aaron Magtoto and Dylan Luu collected a pair of 6-1 wins; and No. 1 singles player Lance Morgan added a 6-4 victory.

Margarita High of Rancho Santa Margarita in its CIF first-round opener, 11-7. No. 2 Morgan (6-0, 6-0, 6-2), No. 3 Sahara (6-0, 6-0, 6-2), and the No. 1 team of Magtoto and
Luu (6-3, 7-5, 6-4) each swept while No. 1 Justin Son and the No. 2 duo of Moravec and David Lee each posted a 6-4 victory.
LCHS finished as the Rio Hondo League runner-up with a 9-1 record (13-2 overall).
