Lutheran Church Prepares for Holy Week

Lutheran Church in the Foothills invites everyone to attend its Holy Week services, including Maundy Thursday worship on Thursday, April 6, at 7 p.m.
Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus’ final celebration of Passover, or the Last Supper, with his disciples. LCIF will offer Good Friday worship at 7 p.m. on April 7 to commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus.
Holy Week ends with the celebration of Easter on Sunday, April 9, at 10 a.m.
“Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, is the heart of our faith,” says LCIF pastor Chuck Bunnell. He adds, “With the resurrection, God is with us and continues to hear and answer our prayers.”
LCIF’s Easter worship will be preceded by an egg hunt and brunch, beginning at 9 a.m. All are welcome.
The church would also like to remind the community of its ongoing food drive to feed the hungry. Canned goods are appreciated and can be dropped off during worship services or anytime during the week at the church office.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details.
For more information or to request or offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org, or call (818) 790-1951. The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
